IZ*ONE Sakura quits her K-Pop idol after the scheduled disbandment of IZ *ONE in April 2021. Sakura will return to Japan.
Sakura Miyawaki became a member of IZ*ONE after capturing the second rank on the Mnet show “Produce 48“. IZ*ONE gained immense popularity in Korea. Despite the controversy over the voting manipulation in “Produce 48”, IZ*ONE Korea became one of the most popular girl groups, their albums are sold a lot and they worked real hard for that (here is the proof: www.korebu.com/en/izone-members-were-so-tired-and-sleepy-on-live-tv/)
However, the contract of IZ*ONE, a project group, will expire in April 2021 and the group will become passive. Some members can extend their contracts with CJ ENM as a result of their negotiations. However, there is no information yet on which members will continue to extend their contracts.
Sakura, the only member of IZ*ONE, who has officially announced that she will not continue as a K-Pop idol and will return to Japan. Hearing the news, fans were saddened by Sakura’s decision to quit his career in Korea.
