Lee Joon Gi and IU recently talked about the 2016 drama “Scarlet Heart: Goryeo.” On April 17, Lee Joon Gi hosted a special Naver NOW program called “DREAM” to celebrate his birthday. IU made a surprise phone connection to celebrate her friend’s birthday.
In the phone call, the two stars talked about their friendship and the k-drama “Scarlet Heart: Goryeo”, which made them meet each other for the first time. “Scarlet Heart: Goryeo” is a dramatic drama that tells the love story of Hae Soo (IU), a woman who returns to the Goryeo Dynasty from the present, and Wang So (Lee Joon Gi), the fourth prince of Goryeo. Other actors in the drama include Kang Ha Neul, EXO Baekhyun, and Nam Joo Hyuk.
Lee Joon Gi raised the question of whether there will be a second season of “Scarlet Heart: Goryeo,” which has been frequently raised by fans, where Wang So and Hae Soo reunited. Lee Joon Gi said it was hard to make this happen, realistically. However, whatever the applicability, he asked IU if he would be interested in appearing in the series if a second season was to be filmed.
IU says, “I think all of us filming the drama probably felt the same way. We had a great time filming the movie and even now there are many people who love the show. Isn’t it great? ”. IU optimistically said, “If the conditions are right for all of us to come together, there is no reason not to do it,” and noted that all of the actors in the series have achieved great fame and are busy with their pace. “But if you’re just asking me my opinion, there’s no reason not to do that,” he said.
They also talked about the unpublished final scene of the drama, which was shot but not broadcast. Lee Joon Gi: “IU showed off her most wonderful emotional acting that day. I can’t believe how anyone could cry with so much grief. Even now, I cry when I see your emotional acting on that scene.”
IU gladly answered; “I’m sorry we couldn’t show the fans the scene where Wang So and Hae Soo meet, but the visuals were also great. In the present day scene where you have short hair and you wear a suit. It was really embarrassing that the visuals in that scene where you gave me a handkerchief were not appearing on TV. Your fans would have gone crazy if this was released. . ”
