BTS is making history in the UK, making it the first Korean artists to be nominated for the BRIT Awards.
On March 31, the British Phonography Industry (BPI) officially announced the nominees for the BRIT Awards for 2021. BTS received the BRIT Awards nomination for the first time. Considered the most popular music awards ceremony in the UK, the BRIT Awards is an annual recurring awards ceremony that recognizes achievements in popular music.
For the 2021 BRIT Awards, BTS competes for Best International Group, an award that is given again this year after a one-year hiatus. As the first Korean artist to be nominated for the BRIT Awards in this category, BTS will face off against other nominees Foo Fighters, Run the Jewels, Haim and Fontaines DC. The BRIT Awards will air on May 11.
