BTS performed many songs from the album BE on MTV Unplugged , as well as British rock band Coldplay‘s “Fix You” . BTS members, and especially V and Jin, used to talk about their love for Coldplay and it seems like they have paid off. Coldplay fans reported that Coldplay specifically allowed his song “Fix You” to be rarely performed by other music artists for fear of disrespect for thier message. Because of their selectivity, Coldplay even turned down offers from large-scale TV shows and movies worth millions of dollars. Soloist Chris Martin once described “Fix You” as “possibly the most important song we have ever written.”
That’s why Coldplay’s support for BTS is a big deal. Coldplay has been posting on social media since appearing on BTS MTV Unplugged, as well as being allowed to cover the song “Fix You”. Coldplay commented on BTS’s news in Korean letters on their official social media account and stated that he loves BTS.
