The 2020 Seoul Drama Awards have been announced. At the award ceremony, the TV series “When the Camellia Blooms” received awards in 5 different categories: best actress, best screnwriter, excellent Korean drama, outstanding Korean actor and Best OST in Korean Drama. “Itaewon Class” miniseries won the Mini-Series Silver Bird award, while “Crash Landing on You”, “Stove League” and “Extraordinary You” were selected for “Outstanding Korean Drama”s.
“When the Camellia Blooms” was the highest rated mini-series drama aired in 2019 with a single episode rating of 23.8%. Gong Hyo-jin and Kang Ha-neul star in the drama, which tells the story of Oh Dong-baek, a single mother who moves to the fictitious town of Ongsan and opens a bar called Camellia. Serises depicts her both as a lover and as a detective.
