BTS Jungkook was wearing a SoundCat ear monitor hancrafted for him at her NBR Tiny Desk live concert.
While the color of the ear monitor was white, there were two blue and red stripes in the middle.
Regarding their meaning, Jungkook tells Jimin on the Memories DVD from 2019:
Jungkook: “What color is the result when you combine blue and red?”
Jimin : “Purple”
Jungkook: “That’s why. I purple you!”
Here is Jungkook’s little secret.
The phrase “I purple you” was a phrase produced by V and deeply embraced by BTS members. This expression, which V coined as “Borahae” in Korean, is a combination of the words Bora (purple) and Saranghae (I love you). When the two come together it becomes “purple + action = my purple”. About the color purple, V says : “Purple is the last color of the rainbow, so it means that I will love you to the end and trust you to the end” .
Hence, with these ear monitors, Jungkook sends the message that he loves and trusts ARMY to the end.
