The photo-interview conducted by VARIETY yesterday attracted great attention.

Group members in suits added a new dimension to the concept of “charism”.

As you should have noticed too,  the names of the group members in the photos were written in red colored, large-sized fonts.

However, it is a taboo to write someone’s name in red in Korea! The color red is used when registering death declarations in the population registers of people who have passed away. If you write someone’s name in red, you are either talking about someone who is dead, or you wish that person will be harmed or even killed if that person is alive.

Although this is an old belief, it is still an important concept in Korean culture today.

VARIETY changed the color of the font used when writing the names of the members from red to yellow as a result of the information conveyed to them in this context! We also share these pohotos with the corrected font colors with you:
