Red Velvet Irene is almost ready to make her debut for her acting career! The trailer of Irene’s first movie, Double Patty, has been released.
Irene plays a young girl stepping into adulthood as Lee Hyun-Ji, a hard-working and enthusiastic newsreader who works at a burger restaurant in this teen movie. She co-stars with Shin Seung Ho (A-Teen; How to Buy a Friend), who plays high school wrestler Kang Woo-Ram. Double Patty will be released simultaneously in South Korean cinemas and on the Seezn app, a subscription platform similar to Netflix.
For Red Velvet fans, trailers of the movie have been released on YouTube and on Naver. The trailer gives insight into Irene’s acting. You can also listen to the movie’s OST with the duet of Irene and Shin Seung Ho in the trailer.
According to the trailer, Double Patty will air in February. It has also been reportedly pre-sold to six Asian countries, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. However, there is no information yet about when the film will be released outside of South Korea.
