The most plausible answer to the question of “Which might be the most prevalent age group among BTS listeners?” seems to be that “little girls, teenagers and some college students”. However, statistics indicate that most of ARMY is between 30-40 years old. Is there any explanation to this dilemma?
In fact, there is a quite plausible explanation for this seemingly odd situation. Statistics generally depend on who purchases the music products and concert tickets. The purchases are generally made via the credit cards of parents, who are within the age group of 30 to 40.
On the other hand, concert recordings, fan actions, Weverse comments and tweets indicate to a much younger age group. This seems logical indeed, as it is quite likely that 35-40 age group have children in 10-15 age group. Moreover, it is quite understandable that both the children and their parents could be K-pop fans. A study conducted in Korea in 2019 confirms this with its findings showing that 83 per cent of BTS fans are women and their age is between 10 and 30. Yeah, it is a mother and daughter thingy and they enjoy it so much!
If you are not an “Anti” for Kpop in general for no reason, it is exceptionally very hard to find an alternative to BTS in terms of music quality, dance choreography and colorful stage designs. Don’t we need to be deeply grateful?
