On May 31, 2021, SHINee‘s Taemin was enlisted. Surrounded by fans and members of the press, Taemin went to the Korean Military Headquarters in Nonsan. After Taemin receives basic military training, he will join the military band.
One of the group members who sent Taemin to the military, Key shared a photo of the four group members side by side on his Instagram account. Under the photo was written “Come back in good health”.
SHINee’s Minho also shared a photo of him with Taemin in the car. Minho wrote under the photo, “I’m always by your side”, “Taemin come back healthy. I’m always by your side. I support and love you”
Taemin is the youngest member of SHINee to enlist. Onew, Minho, and Key have all done their military service. They made their “Don’t Call Me” comeback in February after Minho returned from the military and before Taemin enlisted. Taemin released the album “Advice” just before he enlisted. We got used to seeing Taemin with long hair, be it in the MV for the song “Advice” promotions. Taemin’s hair is gone, he always wears a hat in the photos. We were a little sad.

We have never seen such a large crowd in previous military referrals. Fun music is used in the video, but we are bleeding inside. Taemin will be away from the environment for two years, not less.
