V made one of his legend comments and likened Jungkook to the character “Terry”. Yes, the “Terry” as “Terry Grandchester” character in Candy Girl Candy anime cartoon, here are those moments (English Subtitles):
He is Terry who shatters the convention of “ideal boyfriend” of a generation. He made a generation of girls (and boys!) to idealize the types that could be described as “bad boys”, “cool, reckless and of course handsome”. He was sort of a romantic bad boy! Terry was a different man, yeah …
Weird, super-cool, over–confident behaviors, including smoking (in the cartoon!), he was disturbing at times. When Candy says “ I love Anhthony “, he says “ forget about it” or “it is a non-issue” and kiss her directly (and deeply!) … How is that possible in a cartoon? The youth, who were watching, of course, did not know that it was “anime”, not a cartoon.
While the girls were burning not dreaming Terry; the (poor) boy generation would crack from mischief and stretch out a “pigtail” to look like Terry… without the much-desired results…
Well here’s Jungkook and Terry comparison… The analogy is valid as they are both utterly pretty boys but not for the personalities. Terry could be mean, even “so mean” often but JK is aways polite, considerate, shy and so adorable.
