SPOTIFY has published the rankings and statistics of the most streamed Kpop Girl Group “Albums” in 2020 (until December 2, 2020):
As can be seen from the table, BLACKPINK is in the first place and is leading the chart by far of any other girl group. In fact, BLACKPINK’s “ THE ALBUM ” streamed 900 million times alone, while the other nine bands in the top ten had 828 million streams in total (despite some having not one but two albums this year!).
On the list is the It’z Me album of ITZY , a group younger than even two years old. If we count it together with the Not Shy album, it is again in second place with 215 million total streams. K/DA is in third place with their album, while TWICE is in third place when their two albums are counted together with 211 million total streams.
EVERGLOW‘s “La Di Da” seems to fell short of its truly deserved album listens , but the group got a good number of listens with their extended debut EP released in February!
The tenth place on the list belongs to DREAMCATCHER. They have a rock sound, but their songs are tru gems for psychedelic rock enthusiasts.
Finally, we also congratulate G(I)DLE and IZ*ONE.
