In the latest VLIVE stream of Red Velvet , Wendy shared her thoughts on Aespa and their debut song “Black Mamba“. Wendy said: “They have good music and choreography. But they have different energies from us.” Wendy talked about their differences and how the Aespa members are in real life. Wendy also described Aespa’s style as tough and energetic. On their first meeting after Aespa’s debut, Wendy mentioned that she had no chance to meet them before the debut.

“Of course I watched Black Mamba. I also met with aespa. I watched music videos and followed their broadcasts. When I first met aespa, I felt like I met a very famous person. “Ooo! They are real artists! They are aespa! ”It was an unreal encounter. They are like babies. I felt like babies when I met their real personalities. I mentioned that I liked them very much. Even though I was an artist, I felt like I met a real artist when I first met. I don’t know how to describe it. Their music and choreographies are good. But their energies are different from ours. Our debut piece was Happiness and we were “Booyah! We were like “Happiness”. But theirs is “Black Mamba”. Their style is very different from ours “
