Bangtan BOMB released a reaction video (September 13) on Bangtan TV featuring the comments of BTS members regarding the “Dynamite B-Side”. BTS members sit on the edge of a wall with masks on their faces and are assessing the Dynamite B-Side music video. If you remember, after the original Dynamite clip, they released a B-Side version. Actually, we stated that we liked this version more in our review article linked below.
BTS “Dynamite” B-Side Video Explodes with Energy and Happiness!
RM starts the interview with asking” What does “B-side” mean?”, We get the answer: “It means Taehyung’s side” . V is referred to as such since his mind works a bit differently. V explains: “looking from a different angle”. Then J-Hope asks, “Is it lower than B?”, “No, it is just a different version”.
RM: When you say “B-side stands for BTS” side, V adds: “Then, A stands for ARMY side “.
They had a really good conversation before they even got to the review of the music video, their energy and speed of thinking is phenomenal.
The clip now begins to play at the bottom of the screen. First, they emphasize that there are a lot of video shooting mistakes. We learn that the scene for Jungkook was filmed in the morning. We also learn that the clip shots are spread over different sessions during the day and the members are able to shoot one by one and from different camera angles. Regarding the question of whether he really played the guitar, Jungkook replies yes. They ask what you played or did you press the strings of the guitar just to say bang bang bang and Jungkook nods his head in a verifying manner.
They point out that in the scene of RM it is very cute that the expression of his face suddenly changes.
They point out that there was a shooting mistake in the scene where Jungkook walks into the room filled with his friends, already.
We learn that the place where the walls of V were shot is actually a pool. They say it doesn’t look like it at all, it looks like as if it is outdoors.
The band members say they find Suga‘s scenes quite funny. They are also having fun with RM lifting his feet and the basketball thrown by Suga does not turn into a basket. Suga asked the team in charge of video effects to make it look like that şt was a basket by the virtue of digital effects. But they did not do it.
In the scene where RM and Jimin kick and spin, they find that RM has greatly improved his spinning ability.
Jin laments that his head looks big in the next scene. It is more correct to say that his hair is fluffy, we have nothing to say about its beauty. Meanwhile, in this B-side video, Jin has danced way too much.
In the next scene, we see that Jungkook and Jimin are out of sync while they are dancing. Subsequently, J-Hope hangs out with free styling, and then we see Suga’s does some free styling. J-Hope says Suga‘s part should have been longer.
Then, on the stage where they dance together, Jimin says it was really like they were in a real disco. Thanks to Jungkook, he broke the the lights, we don’t know how he managed to do it.
J-Hope points out that Jin‘s legs move very quickly.
At the end of the clip, during the kicking scene, first V and then RM made a mistake. We learn that Jimin’s phone also recorded this scene, but was the cameraman officially uploaded before Jimin. Jimin says he would have leaked it himself otherwise.
RM expresses that time passes so fast:”as if two months have passed”. “Was it a month or three weeks” they discussed. (The release date of the clip was August 24, by the way).
Next they reveal that in fact there was no real set where they shoot the video. It was CG (Computer Graphics), i.e. backgrounds made with computer effects. They elaborate the issue as such:”Should we not say CG; what shall we say then Photoshop?”, “Whichever we say then, a secret life in Korea.”, “Is it in the mind of Teahyung”. His bandmates can’t stop teasing V.
BTS members next give the good news that they have prepared 12 different performance videos and that September will be a great month for ARMY!
