IZ*ONE is currently is going over the Produce 101 Vote Manipulation scandal. We discussed this in our other article today (there are links in the suggested articles section below). Now let’s recall the controversy of overworking of IZ*ONE members, which was another issue that put IZ * ONE on the agenda last year.
IZ * ONE had a very busy promotion period for their Japanese track “Buenos Aires ” about a year ago. The members of IZ*ONE, who embarked on extensive promotional processes in both Korea and Japan at about the same periods, were devastated by exhaustion in the process. So much so that some IZ*ONE members were unable to lift their eyelids in live TV program they attended in Japan. All members also looked exhausted.
In particular, Kang Hyewon was seen for long periods of time closing her eyes and generally she could keep her eyes only half open. Ahn Yujin was trying to smile, but it seemed like she could hardly stop her eye lids from succumbing to gravity.
IZ*ONE’s fandom WIZ * ONE could not help but emphasize that they felt very sorry for the exhausted group members, even though they looked so cute. They stated that although they were very young, IZ*ONE members, who were estimated to only sleep 3-4 hours a day, did not get enough rest. Some fans claimed that the band members who did not speak Japanese could be bored because they did not understand what was being spoken.
We hope that the IZ*ONE members, who will start the ir Korean promotions on December 7, 2020 after completing their Japan promotions this year and having in some time in between, will have some rest. IZ*ONE members, who have had an exceptional promotional period in Japan in terms of sales figures and relevance since last month, also seem to be more vigorous this time. Look at Kang Hyewon, who cannot open her eyes above, and looks very vividly on Jeunju Music Core Special held on November 16, 2020 this year! Same goes with Ahn Yujin, too!
