When ITZY published “MAFIA In the morning” on April 30, 2021, it received mixed reactions. Some of the listeners did not like the song, found the lyrics to be cliché, and urged the producer of the song, J.Y. Park, to give up producing songs. I wrote that I found the song odd at the first time I listened it, but after I woke up next day I was singing the song unconsciously and couldn’t get out the song. I thought J. Y. Park, who captured me with “When we disco” last year, is the master of his art!
Especially the part where they sing the “Finally Finally” in the song (and the part just before it) is so lovely. In the first part of the song first Lia then Cheryoung sing, and in the first half of the song, first Cheryoung then Lia… Two excellent vocalists adding hugely to the song! So adorable. The rap episodes that follow these vocals do not beat the taste and complete the vocals in an ideal way! Just addictive!
Over the past two weeks, ITZY has had great success with this song and continues to do so. For one thing, the song’s music video has already streamed more than 80 million views on Youtube! Last night they managed to get their third live game show prize at M Countdown !
Tomorrow, they will probably win their 4th place from the “Music Bank” program by beating “ Brave Girls “.
