Cube Entertainment announced that Jung Ilhoon‘s relationship with BtoB has been terminated and the group will continue its activities with 6 members. Ilhoon is accused of illegal habitual substance use and police investigation continues. Entering into 2021, Cube Entertainment has faced with second major crisis after getting sued by CLC’s Elkie. All important details are in our article…

Cube Entertainment stated that BtoB will do their best to continue their artistic life by displaying a mature and exemplary image. They also emphasized that they are aware of the gravity of the situation and apologize to the public.

It was stated that Ilhoon himself wanted to leave the group because he did not want to harm the group more. We do not know what will come out of the investigation, but if he had fallen into such a mistake, it will be a pity for him. Indeed, he was an idol that really stood out with his charism, style and talents. As you can see from the video below, his bandmate Sungjae said that Ilhoon was the member who worked the hardest, exerted the most effort. The situation in which he fell is really sad (English subtitles are offered):

Cube Entertainment is on the agenda with negative news these days. They were sued by CLC’s Elkie this week. Elkie filed a lawsuit to part ways with Cube Entertainment and seek compensation, claiming that no investment has been made in the group since February 2020 and the group has been ignored. Indeed, CLC came out with such a great song as Helicopter in September 2020. Sad to hear this…

Two days before Elkie filed a lawsuit on December 25, Cube Entertainment made an attempt to register the CLC brand, logo, and even the fandom name CHERISE to secure that CLC members who leave the goal group cannot use those in other agencies.

If we take the two incidents together, it turns out that if an idol, whom we think should be extremely planned and under control, is accused of such extensive crimes, then we think that his agency is not very interested in him. I had the impression that Cube Entertainment wasn’t really interested in CLC and BTOB. These two incidents were very bad references for Cube Entertainment, which is one of the larger agencies out of the four big agencies. They seem to rely on (G) I-DLE. How far can (G)I-DLE can carry them?
