The cast of the new Netflix Original series “The Sound of Magic” has been announced. “The Sound of Magic” is described as the emotional music drama of Lee Eul, a girl named Yun Ai and the mysterious wizard Lee Eul who wants to be a child forever. The drama is based on the webtoon “Annarasumanara” by writer Ha Il Kwon, serialized in Naver Webtoon in 2010 and also adapted into a play.
Ji Chang Wook takes on the role of Lee Eul, a strange wizard who lives in an abandoned theme park. Choi Sung Eun will play Yun Ai, who has lived a horrible life until she meets Lee Eul and has magical experiences. Yun Ai’s classmate Na Il Deung will be played by Hwang In Yeop. Na Il Deung is a student who focuses solely on his studies and doesn’t know how to connect with other people. Only after learning the fun of magic with Lee Eul and Yun Ai will begin to change.
The production director will be Kim Sung Yoon, who has directed the drama “Itaewon Class”. The script will be penned by Kim Min Jung, who previously worked with PD Kim Sung Yoon on “Love in the Moonlight” and “Who Are You”. In addition to the breathtaking magic of the original webtoon, the director and writer of the series will also incorporate musical elements into the drama. The series is produced by JTBC Studio and Zium Content.
