(G)I-DLE made a highly successful comeback with their 4th mini album “I Burn” on January 11, and the music video of the the title track “HWAA” was mentioned quite a lot and deserves special praise. Since the girl group’s comeback, netizens have been discussing on social media whether they like Miyeon’s new hairstyle. The fringes (i.e., long side bangs), known as the Hime haircut in Korea, are cut straight up to the chin. They look just “Wooww!”.
Netizens presented their views on Miyeon’s new style with and without fringes and two different views have emerged.
Here are comments from some of the netizens somewhat disapproving: “She look beautiful with both of the styles, but I definitely think it’s better without the fringes”, “I don’t like the long fringes in your hair, it spoils your beauty”…
