One of the most applauded contestants was eliminated in “I-LAND”, which was quite dissappointing for a lot of viewers of the programme. I-LAND viewers are devoted to all the contestants of the show. Unfortunately, some of them must be eliminated due to the rules of the competition.
At the end of Season 1, 11 of the 23 trainees were eliminated and the remaining 12 competitors continued on their journey. Fans expected the top 12 “I-LANDers” to debut together. However, it was announced that there will be a new qualifying round.
The first group will have a total of 7 members, that is, almost half of the Top 12 ( Ni-ki , Daniel , Sunoo , Geon ) , Ta-ki , Hanbin , Heeseung , Sunghoon , K , Jungwon , Jake and Jay ) will be eliminated.
In Episode 8, the Top 12 were split into three teams to perform “I NEED U”, “Fake Love” and “DNA” for the “BTS test”. The “Fake Love” team got the highest score out of 400 with 306 points. Team “DNA” got 287 points, “I NEED U” team got 275 points.
As for the individual rankings, Heesung took first place with 93 points and Ta-ki was twelfth with 57 points.
Geon was eliminated in the end although he was assumed to debut as the group’s main vocalist by many fans.

Prepare to be more disappointed next episode because the end of ep.8 shows Taki has received 4th highest votes. As ep.9 elimination will be based on global voting, Taki will stay on while either K or Jay will be voted out.
