When ENHYPEN debuted, it came to mind that the vampire concept and the heavy sound on top of it were a bit too much for those so young group (all baby faces around)… But soon they came back with a bomb-like energetic song!
If you were not affected by the first listen, especially if you did not start dancing harmoniously in the second listen, you were dry, it was time for therapy … It was a piece like a psychological-health test kit!
The universe of EHYPEN, which consists of baby-faced vampire children and nuns with concrete-like faces, has expanded a little, this time we see 1 (yes just “one”) girl whose face we cannot see (we wondered if she is from the new girl group, most probably, because her face remains hidden!). Better than nothing. At the start of the MV, three band members are waiting at the bus stop (it’s like a K-Drama scene) then leaves a book and leaves. Our daughter finds a note from the book that says “You are invited to our blood bath party”. They were true to their word, and a drastic bloodbath awaits us towards the end. So much so that KBS channel banned the MV from the first moment!
The concept of the werewolf was present in the first trailers of the first album, then the rest didn’t come. There are werewolf images reflected in the shadow from the beginning of this MV, and the rest of the MV is not coming again! Remarkable character un-development!
A crew of vampires, a gang of werewolves and an unsharable swarthy and skinny girl. Didn’t it look so much like TWILIGHT?
As it is understood from the name of the song, concept is dancing and yelling: “I am high”. While the fast-paced parts of the main part are wiggling, I also liked the band sounded bridge part in the middle. Awesome song all around!
By the way, MV quality, props, etc., their boss never cut the expenses. Investing in these children is no joke, they seem to mark the next decade of Kpop. Voice quality is there, all attractive visuals and great dancing skills. Combined with a great caring boss, what more could you ask for?
“Drunk Dazed” has managed to become my favorite energetic song in 2021. You guys are great, keep it up!
