BTS‘s stylist became the target of criticisms for inattentive styling of BTS members during their interview with TIME Magazine.
BTS was selected as “Entertainer of the Year” by TIME Magazine, which is a status given for person of the year in entertainment sector. Accordingly, TIME shoot an interview video and took photographs of BTS members.
The style of BTS members made the agenda of today and the stylist has been denounced quite a bit. Although the stylist has not provided any feedbacks, most probably (s)he should be feeling uneasy as of now… Let’s examine what has been criticized one by one.
First, let’s look at the main photo used in the magnificent editorial by Raisa Bruner:
The above-shot looks pretty stylish at first glance, right? If you look a little more carefully, you will see something strange. Let’s focus on Jin for a bit:
His jacket size looks so out of fit, even the tips of his fingers are not visible. The texture of the suit is weird, too. Who knows how much the shoes are, but they look like their tips are pierced. What’s gonna Jin do, starring in the musical “Les Miserables“? Let’s say the concept of this photo-interview is “loose-fit style”, then how do we explain why V is dressed so sharp in the same photo?
Let’s come to another [at first glance] iconic-looking photo:
Now, let’s take a look at the bottom section of this photo:
There is a lot to absorb in the photo above. Why is Suga‘s pants so long and look likean accordion? If you say it is for the concept, then why are V‘s pants so short? And what about the length Jimin‘s tie ? It will extend almost to his knee.
Finally, the shoes… Below we focus on the shoes of V and Jimin. Why are these much bigger sized than their normal size?
The majority of netizens think that this is not for the specific style choice of the stylist, but rather the outcome of being inattentive.
