A project created by sustained effort spanned over two years, SBS’s “Legendary Stage – Archive K“, anchored by singer Sung Si-kyung, is to be released on January 2021.
K-pop has become a global phenomenon over the decades, however there has been no definitive and comprehensive effort to bring together the historical account of spur and evolution of the sector.
“Legendary Stage – Archive Kpop”, directed by Kim Young-wook (Fantastic Duo; The Fan) is a prominent effort to close this gap. Curated as a “Music Documentary Show”; the project has reached out to a total 205 Korean pop musicians to record cumulatively more than 15,000 minutes of interviews in person.
The show promises to depict not a list of historically important actors in Kpop, but also an invaluable collection of background stories and live testimonies of K-pop personas who made the history!
As observed below in a small clip captured from the program, BLACKPINK (as expected) will be featured in Legendary Stage – Archive Kpop. We are excited for the opportunity to hear more about them that haven’t come to light yet.
