BTS became the youngest ever recipient of the Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit for their service to the promotion of Korean pop culture and the Korean alphabet Hangul.
After wrapping up their European tour in Paris on October 20, 2018, the BTS members had returned to Seoul, South Korea to attend the awards ceremony.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded BTS members the Order of Cultural Merit they deserved, after a record year in which they “sold out” their world tour and hit Billboard charts with two albums in that year!
BTS became the second Kpop artist to receive the award in 2018. Previously, only PSY had been honored in 2012 for the massive global success of Gangnam Style.
We saw Jimin in perhaps the most sincere and emotional state when the engagements were being worn, because the emotions experienced while being honored with such a great honor cannot be expected to be otherwise. Let’s watch Jimin:
