Apink Naeun (Son Naeun) started negotiations with YG Entertainment after parting ways with Play M Entertainment. YG Entertainment has officially announced that they have signed a contract with Naeun.
YG Entertainment Statement: “We are delighted that the very talented Naeun has joined our agency. We will give Naeun our full support as it is at an important stage of her career as an actress.
We also positively discuss Naeun’s participation in Apink’s activities. ”
Naeun has been working as part of Apink since their debut in 2011, and also recently acted in MBC’s movie Dinner Mate. Naeun is scheduled to star in JTBC’s upcoming K-Drama “No Longer Human”, which will air this year. Additionally, in 2017, Naeun’s sister Son Sae Eun also signed with YG Sports.
The remaining five Apink members Park Chorong , Yoon Bomi , Jung Eun Ji , Kim Namjoo and Oh Hayoung renewed their contracts with the agency. Despite Naeun’s departure, Play M reported that all six members will remain as a group and will continue to rise as a team both together and as separate. The agency also announced that Apink is currently preparing an album to celebrate their 10th anniversary.
